In half a second… showcases 142 individual lithography prints of chickens, representing the 142 chickens that are slaughtered every 0.5 seconds in the United States.

Chickens are the most abused animals on the planet with no federal laws protecting them from abuse. Spending their entire lives in overcrowded confinement, approximately 9 billion of these animals are slaughtered for their flesh each year, never getting to experience a full life without pain and torture.

With this work, I hope to spread awareness about the number of lives we are stealing for our plates. We kill chickens for consumption when they are only 6-7 weeks old when they can live between 5-10 years.
